The Supervisory Board of the Insurance Institute is discussing the draft budget for next year, BNT reported.
According to the set parameters - the minimum pension should become BGN 631 from July 1 next year. It is planned that the maximum insurance income will increase by BGN 380 and reach BGN 4,130.
Unemployment benefits and maternity pay remain unchanged in the second year. Business is in favor of raising the threshold, but at a gradual pace, and the unions are happy with the 10 percent increase.
The minimum insurance income for the self-insured will also be higher, but it is equal to the minimum salary, which will be BGN 1,077 from January 1.
Pensions will be updated by between 8 and 9% from July 1. The exact percentage will be known after the final data on the consumer price index and insurance income that go into the Swiss rule. The minimum pension for length of service and age will increase more than initially expected - BGN 631.08. at BGN 580.57 now.
The maximum pensions remain BGN 3,400. The budget is expected to be discussed at a tripartite meeting on Wednesday and could be tabled in parliament the same day.
