The Sofia District Prosecutor's Office has proposed to the I.F. Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov to request the immunity of Lena Borislavova as a member of parliament from "We continue the change-Democratic Bulgaria". This was announced by the state prosecution, quoted by BTA.
The proposal was made on December 9, it is clear from the records system of the district prosecutor's office.
On December 10, Kiril Petkov submitted to the registry of the 51st National Assembly a waiver of his immunity as a member of parliament, Dariknews.bg recalls.
"I want to show everyone from the "dirty machine" that I am not afraid," Petkov said in a video that shows him going to the parliamentary registry to file his waiver of immunity. He thanked everyone who reached out to him for support and promised them that he would not stop until "Bulgaria becomes a normal, legal state in which we can all be happy to live".
A day earlier, Sarafov requested the immunity of the co-chair of "We Continue the Change". The reason - an investigation against Petkov, who, in violation of his powers, ordered the arrest of Boyko Borisov, Vladislav Goranov and Sevdelina Arnaudova.
