The state has spent over 145 million leva on vaccines against Covid-19, which were scrapped in the period from 2022 to 2024.
This was stated by Acting Health Minister Galya Kondeva in response to a question from MP Viktor Papazov, published on the website of the National Assembly, BNR reported.
More than 5 million doses of vaccines produced by seven companies have been scrapped over the past three years due to expired expiration dates, unused multi-dose vials, broken or improperly stored vials.
Vaccines are scrapped once a year by designated committees in the health inspectorates and the ministry, the response of the relevant minister states.
It is added that vaccination against Covid-19 is also recommended at the request of a person or a parent of a child.
We recall that since July 1 last year, daily summary data on the number of people vaccinated against this virus has not been published. A report on those who have passed through the immunization office of each regional health inspection is published once a week.
