The long-time rector of the University of Library Science and Information Technologies in Sofia, Prof. Stoyan Denchev, and the doctor of constitutional law, Assoc. Prof. Borislav Tsekov, will attend the inauguration of the newly elected US President Donald Trump, FACTS has learned.
According to the US Constitution, the swearing-in and inauguration of the newly elected president is scheduled to take place on January 20, 2025. It will be attended by crowned persons, heads of state, prime ministers and officials from all over the world.
The ceremony is also expected to honor current President Joe Biden, although Donald Trump was absent from his inauguration in 2021.
Invitations to the event have also been received by the President of our country, Rumen Radev, as well as the leader of GERB Boyko Borisov.
Years ago, Prof. Denchev received an official invitation to the inauguration of President George W. Bush, but did not take advantage of this opportunity.
A few years ago, Assoc. Prof. Tsekov published a book dedicated to President Trump.
A second book of his is expected to be published early next year, dedicated to the political phenomenon and statesman.
