Evgeniy Dainov: Once again, GERB proved incapable of forming a government - 1

The suspension of the negotiation process before the handing over of the first exploratory mandate for forming a stable government of the state shows that GERB proved once again incapable of forming a government. This opinion was expressed on the air of Radio Kardzhali by political scientist Prof. Evgeniy Dainov.
GERB has suspended negotiations for forming a regular government, the party announced on Sunday afternoon. And they explained: "No agreement was reached with "Democratic Bulgaria" on the personal composition of the future government and the name of the candidate for Prime Minister."
"If for the seventh or eighth time now GERB fails in forming governments, in my opinion, even if they wanted to, they can no longer", commented Prof. Dainov.
According to him, something "broke" when it came to negotiations for real anti-corruption actions.

"I think this is blackmail on the part of Boyko Borisov, which will lead to a final termination of the negotiations, because he will not enter into anti-corruption actions, this means acting against himself, his friends, so from now on I expect that this mandate will fail. Most likely, by going to the latter - the PP this time does not have enough parliamentary weight to form a government, so I do not think that their mandate will be successful either", said Evgeniy Dainov.

He believes that the problem with the BSP is not that they enter into such alliances, but that they are trying to be both extreme left and extreme right.

The political scientist explains the absence of the two MRF formations in the negotiation process by saying that some kind of isolation has been achieved around Delyan Peevski, and the group around Ahmed Dogan is most likely dealing with its own problems.

"The work is heading towards elections", commented Dainov. His forecast is that they will be in May.
