Babikyan: Sarafov's election will give Borisov and Peevski peace of mind - 1

The pace of the negotiations is in line with the sacred date of January 16, when Borislav Sarafov will be elected Prosecutor General, which gives peace of mind to both Boyko Borisov and Delyan Peevski.

This opinion was expressed to the Bulgarian National Radio by PR expert Arman Babikyan, a former MP from "We Are Coming", pointing out that the media reports are part of the negotiation process, not an attempt to inform the public.

"This is about the private interests of two individuals. All the others who are at the negotiating table, I don't know why they are there, but I suppose they could be driven by other motives. ... There are two people who benefit from this prosecutor general. In 7 years, we can hold elections 30 times, but not for the prosecutor general. This election on January 16 brings a feeling of irreversibility of the reform in the judicial system. This will throw a large part of the efforts of the quasi-reformist forces into the trash can, "he added.
In the words of Arman Babikyan, if Borisov claims that only the name of the prime minister is unacceptable to the DB, therefore, on all other issues of principle an agreement has been reached between the negotiators for a regular cabinet GERB-SDF, DB, BSP-OL and ITN:

"If so, why are the laws not being voted on. ... Holding reforms hostage to government negotiations, at the very least, means total insincerity in front of Bulgarian citizens. Do you really want to change Bulgaria for the better? .. Politics is produced in parliament and if a system is wrong, its place for repair is in the National Assembly, not in the Council of Ministers. The same is valid for the budget".

Babikyan summarized that the benefit of the suspended negotiations is for Delyan Peevski, who is not present at the negotiating table, but is present at the table of power.
