A woman was hit on a pedestrian crossing in Pazardzhik, the Regional Directorate (RD) of the Ministry of Interior in Pazardzhik announced. The incident was reported on Wednesday morning.
After arriving at the scene, the police found that a driver of a passenger car had hit a 40-year-old woman from Pazardzhik. She was transported to the Multi-profile Hospital for Active Treatment (MBAL) - Pazardzhik, information about her condition is currently awaited, the police added.
The driver of the car's alcohol and drug tests were negative. A team of the “Traffic Police” is on site.
A total of 10 serious accidents have occurred in the country over the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Interior announced earlier on its website. 10 people were injured, no deaths. Since the beginning of January, 302 serious road accidents have occurred in the country, in which 15 people died and 367 were injured.
