In the midst of winter, the flu continues to occur. The areas with a flu epidemic are increasing. There is already the first area with students who will switch to online learning.
"Currently, the most cases are prevalent in children up to 4 years of age. In some areas, things are changing and the number of students from 5 to 14 years of age is increasing, which indicates that measures must be taken in schools. Let's not forget about distance, not to cross classes, not to gather many children indoors from different classes," said the former director of the National Center for Infectious Diseases, Prof. Todor Kantardzhiev.
The complications of the flu, as well as other respiratory viral infections, are respiratory failure, difficulty breathing, gray skin and mucous membranes.
"Then you should seek medical help, and hospital help. In Sofia, things have slowed down. The infection is slowing down and we expect a rapid epidemic development in the coming weeks, judging by the fact that many people are neglecting to wear masks and isolate themselves," Prof. Kantardzhiev also emphasized to BG on Air.
