Today, developments are expected in the case of the disbanded MECH parliamentary group. The Speaker of the National Assembly Natalia Kiselova yesterday proposed two options for getting out of the crisis and denied that she had succumbed to pressure for the decision made.
"There is such a people" submitted a draft resolution to restore the group, and their partners in the government from GERB and BSP supported them. Support is also expected from PP-DB.
The deputies are expected to consider the draft resolution at the presidential council. After that, it will probably be included as the first item on the parliament's agenda. Yesterday, in a special statement, the Speaker of the National Assembly, Natalia Kiselova, proposed two solutions for overcoming the crisis - either a change in the rules of procedure, or a specific decision of the parliament to regulate the legal consequences of the Constitutional Court's decision.
Nevertheless, the announced intention of the MECH party to protest in front of the National Assembly remains.
