The brothers Kiril and Georgi Domuschiev appeared for questioning in the case against Vasil Bozhkov and several other people, accused of causing damage to the state budget for over 500 million leva, BNT reported.
The prosecutor's office announced that in addition to testimony, they have a number of pieces of evidence, including audio recordings and expert reports. At yesterday's hearing, however, a large part of the witnesses did not remember many of the details of the questions that were asked in the hall.
Kiril Domuschiev testified that he knows the brothers Tsvetomir and Boyan Naydenov, who are general sponsors of the football team "Ludogorets", but he heard about their conflict with Vasil Bozhkov more from the media. Kiril Domuschiev indicated that he knew Bozhkov, as they had business and friendly relations.
"Let me tell you precisely and clearly - we are still friends and we have not stopped being friends, Bozhkov stated.
"I have no idea what the memory deficit of a large part of the witnesses is due to. Maybe it is due to their age or some other medical circumstances. Whatever they said was recorded in the minutes, we asked all the questions that we found relevant and about which circumstances other witnesses had indicated in previous sessions that these people in particular were aware of, directly perceived and know", stated prosecutor Angel Kanev.
