Dragomir Stoynev: The fact that the BSP respects the presidential institution does not mean that we will applaud every action of Radev - 1

"Bulgargaz" had a lot of concerns about this contract and they are justified. It is worrying that we are paying for a service that we do not need. It is even more worrying that currently "Bulgargaz" is in a very difficult financial situation. This was said in "Face to Face" on bTV by the chairman of the PG of "BSP - United Left" Dragomir Stoynev on the investigation of the contract with "Botas", quoted by novini.bg.
There was a crisis situation and some solution had to be sought, but the contract was made in such a way that instead of benefiting, we are stuck. A caretaker cabinet cannot afford to take such actions, because it does not represent anyone, it has no political support. As far as I know, the Council of Ministers itself was misled, it is no coincidence that the Ministry of Finance coordinated it with a dissenting opinion, Stoynev said.

A caretaker minister does not have the right to sign such a contract for 10 years, and he signed it for 13 years. Perhaps this is the bitter cup that we have to drink because of the political timelessness of the last 4 years, and we all have to pay a very serious price, the socialist emphasized.
In response to a question, he assured that our country will not sell the reactors for the "Belene" NPP to Ukraine. We have support from all over Europe for the construction of new nuclear capacities, Dragomir Stoynev noted.

Asked whether these capacities will be implemented in "Belene", he said: "Given that we are ready, why not. Especially for the development of artificial intelligence, Bulgaria needs nuclear capacities".

Stoynev also commented on the position of the PG of "BSP - United Left" in support of the return of the proposal for a referendum on the euro, made by President Rumen Radev.

The fact that we respect the presidential institution and President Radev does not mean that we should applaud his every action. President Radev may have been misled into requesting a referendum, knowing that the referendum was unconstitutional. Why he did it this way, only he can say. The Bulgarian government and the Bulgarian state have chosen their own path, and the BSP is at the heart of this. This is shared by a large part of Bulgarian society. When a dividing line is drawn and it is said that we will almost become poorer with the euro, we in the BSP cannot agree. We will neither become poorer nor richer, everything depends on the development of our economy. Only with a developed economy will we have prosperity, Dragomir Stoynev also stated.
