Aggression, unfortunately, is becoming an increasingly topical topic. This week we witnessed something extremely ugly and scary. Two men broke into a school in Byala Slatina to beat up boys who were publicly mocking a girl. Then relatives of the young people beat up the two men, and for a whole week the scandalous story has not stopped. NOVA reporter Rumyana Popova followed her to seek the truth and meet the victim face to face.
Victoria Vasileva. This is the name of the girl, whom her father and grandfather, in their own way, tried to protect from ridicule because of a video. The two are under permanent detention and charged with hooliganism and bodily harm to minors. The television team meets with her at the invitation of the family, who wants to tell their truth. According to the girl, she was first a victim of blackmail.
„They asked me for money. I told them „I won't give it to you“ and the video went viral after that”, the girl said. That's how she became an object of ridicule. „I got a lot of scolding, attacks, they called me „Lizalka” and all kinds of nasty things like that. I was afraid to tell my family”, the child added.
Her ex-boyfriend tried to stop them, but they beat him up. „They threatened him so that he wouldn't tell the police that he had been beaten by a relative of one of the boys”, Victoria added. Frightened, she decided to seek help from her family. „I called my grandfather to ask for help from him and before he came, he called my father too”, Victoria explained. First, she tries to talk to the boys about the fact that the tension is visibly escalating, but she doesn't get any understanding.
“My father and grandfather waited outside for a long time and finally came in. They wanted an explanation. They didn't give it and all this happened. They hit my dad and, of course, I intervened. It wasn't right to do it and I'm really sorry. I've had a lot of problems since then”, the girl claims.
The trouble starts literally minutes later. When they leave in the car, another car blocks their way. One of the boys and his father attack them. “They started beating my dad. I got out of the car and pulled the boy out. He dragged me down the street and pushed me. The other man had an iron and started hitting my dad with it. "He broke the rear left window of the car on my girlfriend's head," the girl explained.
The families of the two boys deny that they attacked or saw anyone attack the girl and her relatives. "It wasn't us! We came when everything was over," said Krasimir Toshkov, grandfather of both boys.
And Victoria believes that each of the participants in the beating is to blame. "I shouldn't have called my grandfather and let it come to such a beating. I also see fault in the boy who spread the video, because everything happened because of him," she explained. That's why she wants them to stop the pressure and mockery of her. "And to write all kinds of untrue things about me. I want us to understand each other and there will be no problems. I'm sorry I called my relatives and dad got hurt," she concluded.
