Snow is falling this morning in the Rozhen and Pamporovo region, the Meteorological Station on Rozhen Peak and the Mountain Rescue Service of the Bulgarian Red Cross said.
A minimum temperature of minus 0.4 degrees was measured in Rozhen, while thermometers in Pamporovo recorded minus 2 degrees.
A snow cover of about 1 cm has formed briefly on the meadows of Pamporovo, BTA reports. In the area of Snezhanka Peak, traces of the unusual snow for the end of May are still visible.
Snowfall was observed in the higher parts of Smolyan district, according to information from local residents.
