Minister Daniel Mitov must take urgent measures to reform the internal affairs system. There can be talk of resignation if he fails to cope with this task. Stanislav Balabanov from ITN came out with this position.
He stated to the Bulgarian National Radio:
"Rather, the problem is in the system, which needs emergency repairs, because ultimately the personality of a given minister, who has only been a minister for a few months, cannot bear this enormous and heavy responsibility related to a personal mistake, because the case is shocking. The blame should be borne by those who have exceeded their powers and as a Bulgarian citizen I want them brought to justice. That is, the tumor is in the system here. So it is too early to talk about resignations at the moment. Rather, we want to see real actions and consequences for those who think they can be above the law"
Regarding Israel's strike against Iran, according to the MP from the ITN, there is no immediate threat to our country:
"Directly, I doubt there is. Unfortunately, this conflict has been simmering for many years. By the way, Israel has been warning for a long time about what will happen to Iran. Bulgaria must have a clear, in principle, position, and it must be primarily related to a ceasefire, peaceful actions not only in Ukraine, but also in this conflict that is currently taking place, I really hope that these local conflicts here do not wake up that sleeping lion that concerns, God forbid, a global conflict. We must guard against it, do everything possible for peace to finally prevail in the world".
