Vanya Grigorova is my personal nomination for candidate for mayor of Sofia. This was said in the studio of “Face to Face“ on bTV, the chairman of the BSP group in the Sofia Municipal Council Ivan Takov, quoted by novini.bg.

He explained that Grigorova was the most suitable candidate for mayor of the capital.

I learned that she was leaving the group with a letter. Yes, we have had various thematic disputes, which is normal, since we are a democratic group. Ultimately, politics is a team sport. Personally, I was surprised by her departure, added Takov.

According to him, Vanya Grigorova, not Vasil Terziev, won the elections for mayor of Sofia in 2023.
About the replacement of Eng. Bratoev at the head of the Sofia Metro, the socialist explained that he was replaced by the Board of Directors of “Metropolitan“, and not by the municipal group of the BSP.

Our battle is for the companies to be managed well, because they perform an exclusively social function for Sofia residents, noted Takov and gave an example of the 6-day paralysis of public transport.

On this topic, the municipal councilor pointed out that even if the state had not allocated funds to increase the salaries of Sofia transport employees, there was an option for this money to come from the municipal budget.

Following the decision of Mayor Vasil Terziev to return Sofia's budget for this year for a new review by the Sofia Municipal Council, Ivan Takov warned that for at least another month the city will not have money with which to start working on its investment programs, nor will public transport employees receive the increase in their salaries, which is why protested.
