The attempt to break into the office was an act of intimidation, pressure and crushing of the "BOETS" association, said the leader of the association Georgi Georgiev in an interview with the Bulgarian National Radio.
Earlier today, police and the National Security Agency entered the building where the association's office is located, and later the SDVR explained that they were looking for illegal migrants - 25 Arabs.
"They broke into the building and made an attempt to break down the office door. They did not present documents for entering private property and conducting searches. I called the owner of the building and he came, went to the Ministry of Interior and no one charged him with anything, and they told him there were no problems, and sent him away," Georgiev told about the experience.
According to him, the Ministry of Interior's explanation about the Arabs is a lie:
"If there is such a thing, the first action of the investigators is to identify the owners of the building, even if they are brought in by force. And the owner himself goes to the Ministry of Interior and they tell him that there are no problems and they send him away".
Georgiev, who published a video of the police in front of the office and the open door, said that the operation lasted about an hour, but "they were banging for 30 minutes before I opened":
"I called 112 and reported an attempted break-in and entry into the office and then I opened it. They came from the Third Police Station and I asked them what was going on, they didn't know anything. Three armed men enter, you see civilians running down the stairs. You will shoot yourselves like in "White Birches".
Georgiev said that this is a stupid way of intimidation, because today "BOETS" there is a protest at 4 pm in front of the CPK.
"I called and I call again, all irreconcilable citizens to come together to stop at least one of the mafia's clubs. No institution can enter in this sleazy way", said Georgiev.
