Kostadinov on the PP-DB's divergent positions on the Anti-Corruption Commission: It's becoming a kind of total political schizophrenia

"I will remind you that we were the most fierce opponents of creating such a commission at all, because we thought that the KPKONPI in its old format worked well enough. Kostadinov on the PP-DB's divergent positions on the Anti-Corruption Commission: It's becoming a kind of total political schizophrenia - 1

The leader of "Vazrazhdane" - Kostadin Kostadinov called the divergent opinions in the PP-DB on whether they would support the closure of the Anti-Corruption Commission "total political schizophrenia", informs BNT.

"In this case, I am particularly interested in the reaction of the PP-DB, because they gave three different reactions. First, Atanas Atanasov came out on behalf of the PP-DB to speak, saying, I quote, that our coalition would submit a proposal, a bill to close the KPK. After Peevski said that he would do the same thing, today I understand that Shotev from the PP said that they would not support it, but then we understand that Martin Dimitrov from the DB said that they would support it. And some kind of total political schizophrenia is happening.

Kostadinov believes that the PP-DB and the MRF are passing the ball to each other, that the commission created by GERB, MRF and the PP-DB as a political bluff is no longer beneficial to the PP-DB and that is why they want it closed.

"I will remind you that we were the most fierce opponents of creating such a commission at all, because we thought that the KPKONPI in its old format worked well enough. However, then the PP-DB managed to convince GERB and MRF, who were their coalition partners, that such a commission should be created. They, of course, with their well-known infantilism, political infantilism, thought that they could control this commission
and accordingly would use it against those who did not support them. But as is well known, GERB and DPS outplayed them, of course turning the CPC into a bat, but not a bat in the hands of the PP-DB, in their own hands, as a result of which the PP-DB began to complain about their own creation and demand its closure."

Asked if it is possible that billions of roubles could be lost under the PVU if the commission were closed, as GERB leader Boyko Borisov warned earlier today, Kostadinov replied:

"And when Borisov says something, it is not always and necessarily true. What are these 5 billion? What are they for? How will we lose them? I am very interested in understanding first how we will lose them, because there are other conditions."
