900,000 leva are being allocated in aid for families affected by the fires in Bulgaria. This was stated by Social Minister Borislav Gutsanov, quoted by Dariknews.bg.

"Until now, they could apply for 1,914 leva, we are allocating another 3,000 leva per family, so it becomes 5,000 leva per family. Additionally, they will be able to apply for another 2,500 leva. This is already for equipment that burned and was destroyed during the disaster. In total, a household and a family can receive up to 7,500 leva. Of course, this must be a single dwelling, the buildings must also be legal, and not cottage buildings, be it a second, third or some other dwelling", explained Gutsanov and specified that the application can be made immediately at the services of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, in the subdivisions of places, depending on the fires.
The Minister of Social Affairs thanked the Prime Minister and the other ministers for the quick reaction, as this item was not on the agenda of the meeting of the Council of Ministers.

Tomorrow, a report will be submitted to parliament on the readiness of each department to purchase specialized fire-fighting equipment, Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov said at the beginning of today's government meeting.
