9 children from Sofia, who came to a sports camp in Varna, have gastrointestinal upset.
Five of them have been admitted to the Infectious Diseases Clinic at the "St. Marina" University Hospital, BNT reports.
The children are between the ages of 7 and 12. They are staying in a family hotel in the city.
The day before they fell ill, they spent several hours at the beach. They had meatballs for lunch and steak for dinner.
The children's parents have already been notified. Some of them have come to Varna to pick them up.
There are 19 children in the sports camp in total. Ten of them do not have symptoms of stomach upset.
The RHI - Varna and the Regional Directorate for Food Safety have been notified of the case. Samples have been taken from the staff and the hotel kitchen. The results will be available in a few days.
