Prof. Tomov vs. Rumen Radev: The President is sabotaging the euro - 1

The coalition itself is a success. This BSP leadership in the person of Zafirov and the others has an open and pragmatic approach. Today we accepted a new member of the coalition, the representatives of the left-wing farmers. It is a success that this government is being formed, because if it were not for him we would have had drama in the country, probably many protests. This was stated by economist and politician Prof. Alexander Tomov in the program “From the Day” on BNT.

The adoption of the euro is an evolution for the left itself. The doubts are over. There is unity in the coalition itself, he emphasized.

I personally have put in a lot of effort in the last 5-6 months and we already have a result. This is a two-way coalition. On the one hand, we realize that this is a national interest, we are working to save Bulgaria from an eighth consecutive election and a new drama, we realize that if we stay with this alone, the second part of this coalition could mean a drama for the left itself. Therefore, the second task we set ourselves is to come up with new ideas, views and a precise program of what needs to be done by the government, which would highlight the left segment. So far, this has been manifested through the decision on the Swiss rule, to some extent with regard to Ukraine, this should be manifested in new results in the coming months, the economist explained.

Prof. Tomov also stated that the compromises they have made show potential. In his words, after 7-8 years of decline of the left, there is already growth.

„What the president proposed was sabotage of the euro, the politician cut off. The problem is that an awful lot is being lied about the euro. This decision is a strategic success for the country. "Yes, it's difficult at the moment, every beginning is difficult, but this is a strategic success for the country. We had to get hooked on something stable so that there would be investments and money in this country," the economist emphasized. He turned to the left: "If you want income, real social justice, they go through investments. This is the truth."
