Nikolay Denkov on the Anti-Corruption Commission: If we are going to close down one thing that is not working, let's close down the entire state - 1

We are protesting against the outrages that both the PP and the prosecutor's office are committing. If we say that something that is not working well, we are closing it down, the entire state should be closed down. This was commented on "The Day Begins on Saturday" by the deputy from the PP-DB Nikolay Denkov regarding the debates on the Anti-Corruption Commission.

PP and DB have different positions on closing down the commission, but are discussing the case together, he explained.

"We have no drama. They have arguments on how to re-establish it, we believe that if it is closed down, it will become much more difficult to investigate corruption. The CPK and the prosecutor's office are not doing it. After the Bulgarian Europrosecutor's announcement that it was threatened by Delyan Peevski, the Bulgarian Europrosecutor's office is gone. Wherever Peevski and Borisov come together, nothing works. That's how it benefits them and with one call they can say "arrest this guy, and then we'll pretend there's an investigation".

Denkov described as absurd the dispute between the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Defense over where to assign the aircraft to deal with fires. According to him, there is a third option - to buy new helicopters or to equip the existing ones and have them under the umbrella of the European Aviation Safety Agency. Nikolay Denkov believes that there are those who benefit from the fires - the wood smugglers:

"One of my last meetings as prime minister was with the heads of forestry enterprises - the goal was that they had to lower prices so that the business could work. Then they said - "yes". But the government fell after two months. There are other winners - the politicians who appoint huge staffs on a party basis. This is how they secure voters, on the other hand, only mayors of settlements who voted for a certain party - "New Beginning" are given firewood.

The protests of recent months have been on many occasions - the judicial system, salaries of doctors, student fees, Denkov also commented. He defined the last meeting of the education committee as "a brutal attack against young people - students and pupils".

"Vazrazhdane", with the tacit consent of GERB, attacked science as the basis for the development of society in Bulgaria in general. One of their representatives explained that there are no generally accepted scientific results in the world, that each university has its own opinion, and therefore we cannot base decisions on a scientific consensus.

Until a month ago, PP-DB claimed that only Borisov and Peevski could overthrow this government, but last month they sharply stepped on the gas with their outrages, he added:

"We have seen how Bulgarians leave Bulgaria in 12-15 years. If something does not change, mass departures will begin again. No one will sit here and listen to the flat-earthers.".
