A 37-year-old man from Montana was detained by the police after beating a 25-year-old woman, with whom he lives as a family and has two children. The fight took place in a public place - in front of the Montana polyclinic, near the building of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the city.
The crime was committed at around 9:30 p.m. last night. A police team immediately arrived at the scene and found that the man had kicked the woman and injured one of her arms.
The Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior in Montana reported to BTA that in the first six months of this year, there were 58 cases of domestic violence in the region, in which immediate protection orders were issued, compared to 45 cases in the same period last year. In many places in Montana and the region, posters of the Ministry of Interior against domestic violence have been posted, announcing a hotline for reports, but despite this, the number of incidents has increased in recent years.
