If we compare the prices now with those from the beginning of June, when we started measuring, there is a permanent increase - there is a movement up and down, but in the end it turns out that things are more expensive than they were two months ago.
This was told to the Bulgarian National Radio by Alexander Bubia, an activist of "Stand Up.BG", who participated in the civil initiative to create the "Antispecula" platform.
He explained that every week he and a team of volunteers make "price measurements in the four largest retail chains of nearly 50 basic consumer products".
We receive signals on the platform and the most frequent are about incorrect prices in leva and euros, he pointed out and commented:
"The changes in the Euro Law allow inspectors according to their interpretation, to sanction traders absolutely subjectively. This way they can turn them into bludgeons. Can anyone explain what an unjustified price increase means? Yes, they have given a definition in the additional provisions, which is not sufficient. On the one hand, they will beat the inconvenient businesses, and they will turn a blind eye to the convenient ones. On the other hand, everyone could come up with some reason to justify this increase in prices. Here, electricity has increased by 13% in the last year.
In the show "12+3" Alexander Bubia explained that from "Izprav se.BG" were at the Buzludzha rally on Saturday (August 2) as "left-wing people, and not because of the shameful leadership of the BSP, which betrayed its voters, so I want to avoid any possible interpretations that we have legitimized them in any way".
According to him, the ruling BSP were afraid to come down from the stage to the meadow to the people and hear the opinion of the left-wing voters:
