Prices in hotels will not increase with the reason "we are switching to the euro". When it is said "we want to increase the price", it should be said why, a 2-3% increase is normal, but say what has been done in your hotel - painting is not the reason, but changing mattresses, technology for entering the room, new parts - something that has visibly changed the vision of the hotel. This was stated by the director of the Institute for Analysis and Evaluation in Tourism Rumen Draganov in the studio of "Denyat ON AIR".

He emphasized that a large part of 3-star hotels have already received 4-star categorization, as there is increased interest in more luxurious products. It is a practice to make tangible changes in hotels every three years in order to attract tourists.

"Turkey made a big mistake by increasing prices - we see empty beaches, empty hotels. We took advantage of this situation," said Draganov.

One of the valuable clients we have attracted are the Germans. The director of the Institute for Analysis and Evaluation in Tourism criticized hoteliers who maintain occupancy rates above 92%, because it is dangerous, there were even hotels with over 100% occupancy, which affects the quality of services. The guest indicated 85-88% occupancy as the balance. Bulgarians increasingly prefer all-inclusive vacations.

"We offer exceptional quality. We have all types of meat. In Turkey, they put 20 types of cheese with the same taste - one sprinkled with savory, another with red pepper, a third with black pepper. Our 4-5-star hotels offer very high-quality food. A lot of food is thrown away, which is why some hotels have switched to a la carte. It's about tons of food being thrown away," said Rumen Draganov. According to him, more and more Bulgarians prefer their native Black Sea coast to a vacation in Greece.

"We Bulgarianized the Greeks, they started selling umbrellas and sun loungers. And here we already have sun loungers, a barbaron on the beach in exchange for a drink," Draganov gave an example.
