The president of the MMA Federation Stanislav Nedkov – Stucki with children-medalists from competitions - Martin Ivanov, 11 years old from Berkovitsa, who is a world champion, Hristo Dimitrakov, vice world champion from Berkovitsa, also 11 years old, and Apostol Apostolov, from Pavel Banya, 13 years old, bronze medalist.
A few days ago, a video was released showing Stanislav Nedkov-Stucki and the then European MMA champion Ofelia Tudzharova facing each other in a cage. The action takes place in 2017 after the European Championship.
About the 2017 cage match.
„After the competition ended, we found ourselves in the hall where the championship was held, at a cocktail party to send off the guests. This cocktail party turned into a big party with an orchestra, which was invited by Mr. Nedkov there. I have no idea who the people around the ring were, there were guests from all over the world who participated in the competition itself. As the evening progressed, we wanted to leave, as we were very tired, but Mr. Nedkov was drunk, he was having fun..“, explained Ofelia Tudzharova.
“This is a coordinated and furious attack to take over the MMA federation“, commented Nedkov.
“I have filed a lawsuit for 100,000 leva against Ofelia and everything will be included in this lawsuit“, he also pointed out.
“Nedkov said you won't leave, you become European champions once. I decided that I would be the first to leave. I went to the doors, he caught up with me, stopped me, didn't let me leave. I was 21 and I agreed, but it had to be a fight. I couldn't understand what was happening – "are we really going to do it or is it just an exchange of words," says Ofelia about what happened in 2017.
“At that moment I definitely didn't feel good“, the athlete also says. According to her, she did not react at the time because she herself agreed to enter the cage.
Nedkov explained that during the preparation before the competition in question, Ofelia Tudzharova repeatedly trained with other men, as well as with himself. Regarding the video, he indicated that this was a training session, a demonstrative meeting. According to him, there are no punches, no slaps, no fight.
„Ophelia is smiling all the time, a person who is bullied does not smile“, argues Nedkov.
„This was not a training session, this happens in the wee hours of the night with bear music, given that we want to leave“, Tudzharova also pointed out.
According to her, after the fight there were injuries and defeats in the cage, but she did not make any claims and there is no medical, because she agreed to enter the cage.
For the MMA Federation
„Ophelia Tudzharova is a fuse in a furious attack against the federation“, claims Stanislav Nedkov.
Tudzharova also asked questions to the president of the federation – how many failed events he has had, how many clubs have voluntarily left who do not want to associate with him, why there are over 30 clubs in Bulgaria that are not part of the MMA federation, why there are hollow clubs without activity, what are the medal statistics in recent years and why he is accused of non-transparent management of funds.
„All clubs that are involved in MMA are part of the federation. Those that are not part simply gather somewhere and train and are organizers, criminals and loan sharks, people who distribute banned stimulants“, Nedkov replied.
„In 2014, I said that we were putting an end to all pub-organized events - dirty fights with pistols on the table, with cigarettes, alcohol and music. MMA is a sport and its place is in sports halls. These people are furious because they cannot organize their illegal fights – I have reported to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the prosecutor's office, numerous reports, they have been worked on and they have stopped these events“, Nedkov also pointed out.
About the ear bitten off by Georgi Valentinov during a meeting
"Georgi Valentinov's rights are suspended for life by the Bulgarian MMA Federation on the territory of Bulgaria. The judge's rights are revoked for 1 year, during which he will undergo courses and seminars. No judge is prepared for such a thing", explained the president of the MMA Federation.
