In our water area we have well-preserved prehistoric settlements and ships. This positions us very strongly on the world map of underwater archaeology and can be another magnet for the development of tourism in Bulgaria. This was stated by President Rumen Radev from Sozopol to the media.
The head of state was in the Black Sea town, where the fishing vessel “Chavdar“, built in 1964, was sunk to the seabed to become an artificial reef and stabilize the ecosystem in the Black Sea.
According to Radev, such an action is extremely important for preserving biodiversity in the sea.
“These are important steps for stabilizing and developing the ecosystem in the Black Sea“, the president noted.
When asked whether the presidential campaign was underway, Rumen Radev replied that it was still too early to talk about presidential elections and reminded that in the country “there are many other things to solve“.
The presidential elections are also important, but as they say – when the time comes, the head of state commented.
Regarding the election of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Rumen Radev said that the coordination procedure should be completed this month.
