"In the next few weeks, I will announce new deputy mayors who will appear in my team, and in September we are about to introduce a change in the structure of Sofia Municipality". This was stated by Sofia Mayor Vasil Terziev to journalists after a press conference of the airline Wizz Air.
Terziev explained that the names of the new deputy mayors will become clear by the end of August, "Nova TV" indicated.
"It is important to note that I will not propose deputy mayors for all positions, as I plan to propose structural changes," the mayor added. He explained that the units will be restructured, giving an example of the unit dealing with European policies.
"The work for Sofia continues, Deputy Mayor for Finance Ivan Vassilev is at work until September, until we select and switch to a new servicing bank for the Municipality, Terziev explained". He thanked Vassilev for the time they spent together in the Sofia Municipality administration.
"Nothing dramatic has happened, the work is going well, and our obligation is, regardless of who comes and leaves the administration, for it to work," Terziev also said. The mayor explained that they are already preparing for the next budget cycle and the adjustments that will be made in the fall.
