The Ohrid police corrected the initially disseminated information about the finding of the body of a missing Bulgarian in Lake Ohrid.
Initially, the law enforcement authorities announced that a body was found yesterday, which was identified as that of the 52-year-old Bulgarian citizen. Today, however, the spokesman for the regional department of the Ministry of Interior in Ohrid, Stefan Dimovski, stated that this message is not true and the search operations continue, BGNES reported.
The man has been missing since August 9, when he was diving at a depth of 89 meters near the village of Tarpeytsa. The incident occurred at around 2:15 p.m. Bulgarian time.
The search includes teams from the police, the Red Cross and divers who are searching the area.
“He is still listed as missing. Certain activities will be undertaken during the day to find him“, Dimovski said.
The search operation is ongoing and there is currently no confirmation that the man has been found.
