It's expensive. This is how the deputy chairman of the CPC, Radomir Cholakov, answered a question from the bTV presenter whether he shops for groceries.
"The best regulator of the market is us - the consumers. Therefore, do not buy unnecessary things. This was also proven by a trader who complained to me on All Souls' Day that last year he sold 100 kg of cherries, and this year 5."
The market is currently stealing inflation, he added.
"The CPC is monitoring prices in stores - whether there will be a rise in certain goods before the euro. The state must protect the people."
According to Cholakov, if several chain stores raise the price of goods by the same percentage, it means that there are coordinated actions and the CPC will prove it.
