The government and the deputies have completely gone mad. They deprived 18,000 mothers of receiving maternity leave for raising a child up to 2 years old. With the changes in the Social Security Act, from July, women registered as agricultural producers cannot receive maternity leave. They must choose either to terminate their work under agricultural programs and pay heavy financial penalties, or they will not receive compensation for raising a child. This is especially hard on those who are engaged in organic production and work under the "Young Farmer" program. This is what Cornelia Ninova writes in her position and adds:
Production of Bulgarian meat, milk, fruits and vegetables is one of the most important issues to be resolved. We cannot eat 80% imported products when we have the opportunities for our own, clean, domestic production. Organic food is a particularly relevant issue, because it is a guarantee of health and longevity. Another super priority issue is the fight against the demographic crisis. The rulers killed both with one bullet. I don't know how incompetent or malicious you have to be to pass such a law. Due to your own stupidity or because of someone else's interest, you are killing agriculture and persecuting the young.
Can your people melt, feed them with garbage and at the same time hit the young people who have decided to devote themselves to work in agriculture and give birth to children?! There are 30 left-wing parties in the government, led by the BSP. They are clearly ficuses. 5 straw ministers in five pots, who, together with their partners GERB, ITN and DPS Novo Nacholo, put an end to any social policy. They insisted on saving 780 leva maternity leave for young mothers farmers, while their corporate circles steal millions from public procurement.
And here comes the natural question: Why does the President turn a blind eye to this? Why is there no veto on this law. He is extremely active on any topic you can think of, but on the most sensitive one - for the young people of Bulgaria and the food of Bulgarians, he is silent. Why, Mr. President? The situation may change. If I have to decide, I will immediately interrupt the vacation of the deputies and at an extraordinary session I will propose the repeal of this text. Only in this way can justice be restored.“
