A Swiss citizen died on the road between Dupnitsa and Samokov, the press center of the Kyustendil Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said, BTA reported.
The Swiss citizen entered the country today. He was riding a bicycle and was hit by a car driven by a man from Samokov.
The incident occurred near the junction for Sapareva Banya at around 6:45 p.m. The cyclist died on the spot. The driver's alcohol test was negative, the Kyustendil police added.
A pre-trial investigation has been initiated into the case and the prosecutor's office has been notified.
