Directors of 280 educational institutions were elected in the competitions held in two stages. In July, a total of 442 election procedures were launched for state and municipal schools, as well as for CSOP, CPLR, RCPPPO and the State Speech Therapy Center.
According to the rules, in the first stage, candidates solved a test generated on the day of the exam and which is uniform for the entire country. In the next stage, each of the candidates had to present a concept for the development of the respective educational institution. Along with it, two specific cases were solved in front of the selection committee during the exam itself.
The total number of applications submitted for the announced competitions was 765 (some applied for more than one position). For 82 of the announced institutions, no applications were submitted and the procedures were terminated, and for another 80, no candidate was selected. All of them will be managed by temporary managers until the next competition.
251 schools are starting the school year with new directors. Heads of 17 centers for special educational support, 8 centers for personal development support, three regional centers for supporting the process of inclusive education, as well as the State Speech Therapy Center have also been selected.
