Another serious accident with a buffalo in Sofia. The animal ended up on the hood of a car driving on “Chelopeshko Shose”, NOVA reported. The incident occurred at the end of last week. After the impact, the car was crushed, and the woman who was driving has spinal injuries.

“At around 10:30 p.m. I turned from “Botevgradsko Shose” onto “Chelopeshko Shose”. Maybe a kilometer after the turnoff, a herd of cattle came out - about 6-7 in number. There was no way I wouldn't hit one of the animals. "Many people contacted me and said that this problem is a daily problem," shared the victim, Vesselina Perfanova. She claims that she was moving at no more than 30 km/h.

In previous incidents in the area, it was found that the animals belonged to Nedyalko Kostov. He is the only one who has a farm for such livestock in the region. However, NOVA's attempt to contact him was unsuccessful.

The Sofia Municipality sent its position on the case. The local authorities claim that 8 inspections of this farm have been carried out since 2020. 3 acts of violation were drawn up, which exhausted the powers of the Municipality.

The Bulgarian Food Safety Agency specified that in order to establish whose the hit animal belongs, its ear tag must be checked. The police will assist for this purpose. An on-site inspection showed that the electric shepherd was standing. The attempt of BFSA employees to enter the farm was unsuccessful, as they also did not contact the owner. The inspectors will return with the police.

The day after the accident, Vesselina goes to the "Pirogov" hospital. It turns out that she has a problem with the vertebrae of her spine and neck. She says that she will seek her rights so that the next similar incident does not lead to a fatal outcome.
