Until August 31, the equalization bills for heating and hot water can be appealed.
This is the period in which a subscriber who has found an error in his equalization bill has an obligation to object to this bill, Kremen Georgiev - Chairman of the Association of District Heating Companies - told the Bulgarian National Radio.
According to him, the readings in the bill remain on the devices until autumn, with the exception of water meters. The error can only occur if they are on a visual report, he noted in an interview for the program "Predi visi".
And he explained that with a remote report, the probability of error tends to 0.
Georgiev recommended that subscribers pay their bill on time. If they do not pay and object, but it turns out that the bill is correct, interest will also have to be paid, he explained. However, if it turns out that the bill is incorrect, the amount can be returned to the next bill. People who have not provided access to read water and heat meters should do so immediately so as not to pay higher bills, Kremen Georgiev also warned.
According to him, when paying in equal installments, there is an additional complication in the equalization bills: "Once equalization against the charged energy, charged against the consumed and measured. And the second time - to what was paid during the months, since some equal installments were agreed upon, which can hardly be achieved for a whole year. In this case, double equalization becomes a little complicated. With real data, there must also be a real result - an amount that must be paid".
