After a chase, the police in Smolyan arrested a 17-year-old unlicensed driver, the Smolyan Regional Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced, BTA reported.
The young man was driving a car when he tried to thwart a police check.
The violation was committed in the morning at around 02:40 on “Natalia“ Street in the city. When the stop sign, sound and light signals were given, the 17-year-old from Smolyan did not stop and continued driving, which forced the law enforcement agencies to pursue him and forcibly stop him.
The unlicensed driver has been detained for up to 24 hours at the Regional Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Smolyan.
