A solemn ritual of taking the military oath by newly appointed military personnel in the formations of the 2nd Tundzha Mechanized Brigade was held today, August 22, in front of the memorial complex “Defenders of Stara Zagora“.
In the presence of their commanders, relatives, guests and citizens, over 100 military personnel swore allegiance to the Motherland, kissed the battle flag – symbol of honor, valor and glory, and became part of the ranks of the Bulgarian Army.
The Commander of the 2nd Mechanized Brigade, Brigadier General Miroslav Kostadinov, welcomed the newly appointed soldiers, reminding them that taking the military oath is a sacred duty for every Bulgarian who has decided to accept military service as their professional and life path. He called on them to be faithful to their sworn words and to serve with honor in the name of national security, independence and sovereignty of Bulgaria.
The solemn ritual was attended by the regional governor of Stara Zagora, Nedelcho Marinov, and the secretary of the Stara Zagora municipality, Nikolay Dikov. They congratulated the servicemen on the choice they made and wished them success and determination in future challenges.
