Two children escaped from the kindergarten “St. Ana” in Sapareva Banya. The brothers, aged 4 and 6, were found in less than an hour by the police. The parents refused to comment on the case.
At 11 a.m. today, about 20 children from the only group in the kindergarten were in the yard on the playground. At a time when the teacher was handing out water, the two children managed to leave the kindergarten unnoticed. Their absence was discovered a little later during the census.
“While the colleague was handing out water, the children simply passed by or went out. She cannot say exactly whether they went through the fence or through the door. Our doors are generally locked, we have secured the kindergarten well enough. They are brothers, but the family situation is a bit problematic. This is the first case, at least we have not had such an incident before,” commented Tsvetana Gladnikova, director of the “St. Anna” preschool, to Nova TV.
The kindergarten called the mother, as they assumed that she had called the children from the street, because she had previously informed them that she would pick them up for lunch. Then the mother filed a police report. The children were found 50 minutes later on the way to their home in the “Gyurgevo” neighborhood.
A check has been ordered at the kindergarten, and according to local people, the children live in difficult conditions and have escaped from parental control before. However, this is their first time running away from kindergarten.
