The Burgas District Prosecutor's Office is leading the investigation into pre-trial proceedings for the sale of goods imitating trademarks without the consent of the rightholders.
The case was initiated as a result of a specialized action to protect intellectual property, conducted in “Sunny Beach“.
During the course of the operation, searches were carried out in commercial premises and a warehouse located on the territory of the resort complex. Significant quantities of textile products, shoes, bags bearing distinctive signs of world-famous trademarks have been seized. Witnesses are being questioned.
A forensic trademark examination will be prepared on the items seized from the retail network. It aims to establish to what extent the goods in question have signs that are visually, phonetically and semantically similar to the registered trademarks in question.
