The Ministry of Education and Science has approved the school schedule, which was published a month ago for public discussion. As the Ministry of Education initially proposed, the days off will be from October 31 to November 3 inclusive.
The Christmas vacation will be from December 24 to January 4 inclusive, and the spring vacation for students from 1st to 11th grade from April 4 to April 13. For future high school graduates, the vacation will start a little later - on April 8.
The break between the two terms will be three days - from January 31 to February 2 inclusive. The schedule stipulates that March 2 (Monday) will be a non-school day. It will merge with the national holiday of March 3, resulting in four non-school days for students - from February 28 to March 3.
Traditionally, the days of the matriculation exams will be non-school days. It is planned that the mandatory state matriculation exam in Bulgarian language and literature will be held on May 20, and the second matriculation exam will be held on May 22.
