The conquered state is the main topic of the vote of no confidence that the PP-DB will submit in September. This was stated by the co-chairman of "Yes, Bulgaria" Ivaylo Mirchev in the program "The Day Begins on Saturday" on BNT. According to the politician, the huge problem for the country is the formation of an illegitimate center of power around the MRF - New Beginning.
"When we went to negotiations to enter the government last Christmas, there was a lot of criticism. We then wrote a coalition agreement, which they are currently working on, but they took out the most important part from it - about the conquered state and the unregulated influence of a few people on all institutions", explained Mirchev.
He pointed out that the current government has rejected the cordon sanitaire set up by the PP-DB and this has led to a deepening of the crisis with the control of the institutions. "Now Peevski and DPS - New Beginning are on their way to swallow GERB. Boyko Borisov was an old lion in a cage, raised by Peevski, and currently he is an old lion, cornered by the hippopotamus Peevski", said Mirchev.
The co-chairman of "Yes, Bulgaria" emphasized that the upcoming vote of no confidence will differ from the previous ones. In his words, the previous attempts to overthrow the government have been more like "PR performances, mainly by the GERB proxy party - Vazrazhdane".
"Our own arguments, the motives, are important. People should see that it's not just someone playing around and jumping on votes of no confidence, but that we have real arguments why the government is not doing its job", said Mirchev.
He expressed concern for the country's security, pointing out that "when counterintelligence is subordinate to one person, and not to the interests of the country, when they are told to stop Russian developments, I am worried that our country is not going in the right direction".
The MP also commented on people's concerns about the introduction of the euro. According to him, the state has not properly explained what entering the eurozone means.
"We need to grit our teeth a little and get through this stage", Mirchev believes. "There was and still is no explanatory campaign, some videos were posted on YouTube with 100 views. That's why we from Yes, Bulgaria made our own campaign".
The MP added that his party had good proposals to prevent the speculative rise in prices. "We have done our job as the opposition, but we see that the institutions are acting slowly", he stressed.
A big problem for the country, according to Ivaylo Mirchev, is the presence of three prime ministers at the same time.
"One is formal, on documents - Rosen Zhelyazkov, but there is one who tours the country, the dams, opens lighting in stadiums, lawns and whatnot and really wants to be prime minister - Boyko Borisov. And one who is real - who picks up the phone in the judicial system, to the ministers, to whoever it was in this country, without the opposition, and says: you are doing this. Who is the real prime minister? Peevski. And we are fighting against this", the politician said.
Mirchev also commented on the appointment of the new Secretary General of the Ministry of Interior, who, according to him, will "serve those who put him in office". "He is subordinate to the same unregulated center of power. Svetlyo Lazarov, linked to Peevski, is seen with the new Secretary General of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Miroslav Rashkov, in an emblematic restaurant in Dragalevtsi, where they conduct their operations", the MP claims.
