In connection with the hybrid Russian attack against the plane carrying the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen to Plovdiv Airport, depriving him of the opportunity to use electronic navigation aids upon landing at the airport and thus endangering the life and health of the head of the EU executive, I call for the immediate removal of the Acting Chairman of DANS Denyo Denev. For an urgent convening of a meeting of the Security Council of the Council of Ministers, at which the competent authorities and services should report on the reasons for this failure of the security systems and plan actions for the future prevention of similar risks and encroachments on national and international security. On Wednesday, Prime Minister Zhelyazkov should be heard in the National Assembly on the state of the national security protection system, including aviation, and the counteraction to threats arising from the activities of Russian special services on the territory of the country.
