Zafirov is the leader of the BSP, he obviously has his party commitments. He will certainly explain it best. The deputy prime ministers are a very close-knit team, there is no chance that anyone will divert Bulgaria from its Euro-Atlantic path. This was commented on bTV by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Grozdan Karadjov about the visit of the BSP leader to the military parade in China.
„The opposition always has the right to look for any excuse for resignations, just as today's hearing of Zhelyazkov in the National Assembly is a fabricated excuse - the so-called jamming, and maliciously, of the GPS signal on Ursula von der Leyen's plane. It's made up because, in order to claim that something is a fact, it has to be scientifically proven," he commented.
„I heard the recording from the cockpit, the pilot says that there is a problem with the GPS. We have several agencies that are monitoring this matter very closely, there is no indication of a GPS failure. We find no evidence that this is a fact. The only thing that the Bulgarian Civil Aviation Administration has submitted to the European Aviation Safety Agency is that there is this report about the conversation between the pilot and the tower about a problem with the GPS. Even upon landing, the pilot thanked and reported minimal problems. None of the Bulgarian authorities have reported a similar story with Russian interference. Several headlines in the media claimed that the plane had been circling for an hour and a half – "we have lost in translation", added the Minister of Transport.
It is categorical that according to the empirical data there is not a single fact supporting the claim of a jammed GPS signal.
„I do not bow to any institutions, only to Bulgarian citizens”, Karadjov specified.
He announced that half a year later the man who raised a drone over the „Vasil Levski” airport in Sofia has still not been found.
He hopes that the tenfold fines for the companies servicing the airports in our country will have an effect after yet another case of rude treatment of passengers: „We want the rights of passengers to be respected, this is the cause of our government.”
About the serious incident with an ATV in „Sunny Beach“ The minister specified: “Some of the electric ATVs are not registered with the Traffic Police, some of them are registered with the Ministry of Agriculture as agricultural machinery. The new Law on Attractions will regulate these vehicles. The Road Traffic Law is categorical that every vehicle complies with the regulations.“
“We are introducing two key elements - in addition to a safety plan, a person responsible for safety and annual inspections of the entire equipment, we are also introducing an initial registration act, where a document for compatibility assessment is shown. That is, the entire set of equipment will be assessed to see if it is suitable to bear the risks of the attraction. With the law, we will attach the National Railways to those who provide the attraction and those who stamp the assessment”, he also said.
Karadzhov announced that train accidents happen daily, on average every two days at least one derailment occurs.
“A very serious accident occurred in Kalitinovo, there has not been such an incident in recent years. The fault for the derailment lies entirely with the drivers - they were driving at 100 km/h, where they should have been driving at 40 km/h. There could have been many victims and injuries. It is fortunate that the locomotive did not derail”, he commented on the serious train accident at the end of August.
