For tomorrow, September 6, a number of events are scheduled in the country to commemorate the great anniversary of the accession of Eastern Rumelia to the Principality of Bulgaria in 1885.

The purpose of the intention for provocative actions, which our media learned about, is probably to denigrate one of the most significant Bulgarian holidays and to seek spectacle, associated with the presence of some of the leading figures in the country's government, who are expected on site.

The culmination of the events is the solemn inspection (dawn) on September 6, starting at 8:30 p.m. on the square “Unification“ in Plovdiv. The President of the country Rumen Radev, Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov and the Speaker of the National Assembly Natalia Kiselova have invited and confirmed their presence for it.

The parade-inspection will be attended by representative formations from the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC), the 110th Logistics Regiment and the 91st General Support Engineer Battalion from the Land Forces, the Third Aviation Base and the 24th Aviation Base from the Air Force.

The JSOC is introducing security measures in the city, BTA reported.

Citizens who wish to attend the event will be provided with access to the security zone after 6:00 p.m. through three checkpoints: on “6-ti septembri“ and ul. „Dimitar Tsonchev“ (near the Prosecutor's Office building); at ul. „6-ti septemvri“ and ul. „Sv. Kliment“ (near the underpass) and at ul. „6-ti septemvri“ and ul. „Petko Karavelov“ (near DZI-Plovdiv).

The NSO employees will carry out checks for objects, generally dangerous means and substances. Citizens will be checked with metal detectors for the presence of firearms and cold weapons, sharp objects, explosives and flammable substances, sources of ionizing radiation, fireworks and other pyrotechnic products. Citizens carrying bulky luggage will not be allowed to the event. Access to persons in a visibly inadequate condition will also be restricted.

From 4:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., a ban on the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) is being introduced in an area with a radius of 1,000 m and a height of 1,000 m around the Unification Monument.

In Sofia, Unification Day will be celebrated in front of the mausoleum – ossuary of Prince Alexander Battenberg with the participation of a representative military unit from the National Guard. Wreaths will be laid on behalf of the Minister of Defense and the Chief of Defense. Wreaths on their behalf will also be laid in front of the monument to General Vladimir Vazov, which is to be inaugurated on September 6 in the “Poduyane“ area. in the capital.

Varna Municipality, together with the Naval Forces and the Varna and Veliko Preslav Holy Metropolis, organizes the festive program for September 6. In front of the memorial plaque of Prince Alexander I Battenberg on “Independence“ Square, the commemoration begins with the laying of wreaths and flowers with a military ritual. A procession follows from the memorial plaque along “Maria Luiza“ Blvd., to the monument to those who died in the Serbo-Bulgarian War in the garden next to the Archaeological Museum. There will be a funeral prayer and a wreath-laying ceremony with a military ritual.

In Burgas, a military ritual of laying wreaths and flowers will be held at the monument to the fallen from the 24th Black Sea Infantry Regiment, in the Burgas Military Club area, with the participation of servicemen and a representative part of the formations deployed in the area of the military formation 32890.

In Stara Zagora, with a solemn military ritual, servicemen from the 2nd Mechanized Brigade will lay wreaths and flowers in front of the monument to the “Defenders of Stara Zagora“.

In Blagoevgrad, representative formations from the 3rd Brigade Command will participate in a wreath-laying ceremony as a sign of gratitude in front of the memorial plaque to those who died in the wars for national unification.

Unification Day will also be solemnly celebrated in the cities of Haskovo on the "Freedom" square in front of the monument to the Unknown Soldier in Yambol on the central square. The rituals will be attended by servicemen from the 31st and 42nd mechanized battalions, and the self-propelled artillery division from the 2nd mechanized brigade.

In Svishtov, with the participation of servicemen from the 55th engineer regiment, the anniversary will be marked in front of the monument to freedom.

In Sliven, servicemen from the 13th brigade command will hold a wreath-laying and flower-laying ritual in front of the monument to Hadji Dimitar and the Sliven revivalists.

In Gorna Oryahovitsa, servicemen from the 59th battalion for the YHBZ will mark the holiday in front of the memorial sign of the Gorno-Oryahovitsa residents who died in the wars.

In Asenovgrad, servicemen from the 4th Artillery Regiment will lay wreaths at the memorial plaques of Pere Toshev.
