Our task as the opposition is to overthrow this government and that is why we are organizing a protest on Saturday. This was stated in "Osche ot dne" on BNT by the MP from "Vazrazhdane" Angel Slavchev.
He explained that "Vazrazhdane" had prepared a vote of no confidence on the water shortage issue back in July - at that time they also negotiated with the other opposition parties, but only from "Velichye" have supported them and signed them.
There were some ugly scenes, including with parties like MECH, who told us that we had to beg at their door to get them to sign it. I couldn't understand them. I told them that this was a vote because of the water shortage, the biggest crisis at the moment. I went to talk to representatives of all the parties in person. PP-DB refused to sign it, there was no argument. If they think that the water shortage problem is a "Russian roller coaster", then so be it".
Slavchev described the water shortage crisis as "deliberate negligence so that money can be stolen". He said that "Vazrazhdane" had submitted proposals for amendments to the Water Supply and Sewerage Act, so that municipalities could manage their own infrastructure. The PP-DB also had a similar bill.
"We agreed with the PP-DB and their representatives in the Ecology Committee - that we support theirs and they support ours, so that we can form a working group. I spoke with "Veličie", MECH, they also said that they would support it, so that there would be a working group and a common one would emerge from both bills. After two hours of debate, the vote came and the PP-DB voted "abstained", although before that we had spoken absolutely humanly. When I asked them why they were doing it, they said - a political decision," said the MP.
