The real estate market, especially apartments, continues to surprise us. Prices are being tested that were in the realm of fantasy a few years ago, but today are reality.
The area around Doktorski Pametnik in Sofia is always given as an example when it comes to purchases made at maximum prices. Among the latest ones is an apartment of nearly 200 sq m, on Oborishte Street, right opposite the building where Primate Lili Ivanova lives. The price that the buyer paid, with a view of the famous Bulgarian's living room, is 12,800 EUR/sq m.
The value is the highest for the whole of Sofia, but considering the fact that the supply is very limited, this should not be a surprise to anyone. Currently there are only 11 properties being offered in the area, according to a report on the largest real estate website imot.bg. An average price cannot be determined, since some of the offers have the status “price on request“, and the price is also strongly influenced by how luxuriously furnished the property is. Most apartments are up to 100 sq m. A three-room, completely renovated and luxuriously furnished apartment of similar size is offered at a price of EUR 444,000. The largest property offered is 175 sq m, again well furnished and priced at EUR 790,000.
