Five people were arrested in 24 hours during a specialized police operation by the Bulgarian Anti-Drug and Drug Enforcement Agency against drug trafficking in the city of Pleven.
The operation was carried out yesterday to investigate the activities of an organized crime group involved in the distribution of synthetic drugs and marijuana. 8 premises and 5 vehicles were searched.
Methamphetamine and marijuana, a sum of money in different currencies amounting to over 70,000 leva, as well as gold, ammunition, electronic devices and documents were seized.
A pre-trial investigation has been initiated under the supervision of the District Prosecutor's Office - Pleven.
The detention of the five has been extended to 72 hours by a decree of the supervising prosecutor. Charges have been brought against them. Witnesses were questioned.
