A 27-year-old driver crashed into a guardrail during a chase with law enforcement, the police reported.
The incident occurred at around 12:10 p.m. on September 17. Officers of the Razgrad Police Department stopped the driver for a check near the village of Strazhets. After he was invited to the Regional Administration building to be tested for alcohol and drugs, a chase began, during which the 27-year-old man crashed his car into the guardrail at the junction for the village of Getsovo.
He fled the scene of the accident and hid in dense vegetation near the scene of the accident, where he was found by uniformed officers.
His field drug test showed the presence of amphetamine and methamphetamine.
The driver was detained after refusing to provide a blood sample.
