The collection of evidence in connection with the ATV incident in Sunny Beach, in which five people were injured, has been completed. This was announced by the spokesperson for the National Investigation Service (NIS), investigator Marian Marinov, reported by BTA, quoted by news.bg.
He explained that the materials have been sent to the prosecutor's office for a final assessment. According to him, Nikola Burgazliev's defense has requested his recusal on the grounds that he is biased and has not shared with the public about the progress of the investigation.
Investigator Marinov rejected the allegations that he is biased. He added that the supervising prosecutor in the case refused to recusal him. According to him, there was also a request to invalidate the evidence collected by an investigator from the National Criminal Investigation Service and, if it cannot be repeated, to exclude it from the body of evidence.
Marinov indicated that the indictment against Nikola Burgazliev will be written after the materials from the investigation are presented. He expects this to become a fact within a week.
