The Sofia Police detained three men and one woman for distribution and production of drugs, in an operation carried out on October 20, the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced. Nearly seven kilograms of various drugs were seized, BNT reported.
During the operation, a 39-year-old man was detained in front of his home in the “Manastirski Livadi“ neighborhood. During a search of the address, two premises with a built-in and working ventilation, heating and lighting installation were found. Found and seized were plants of the type “cannabis“, plastic containers containing fertilizers and preparations for stimulating the growth and cultivation of plants, hygrometers, thermometers, a plastic bucket with dry leaf mass and a carton containing dry leaf mass.
A little later, three dealers were also detained - a 37-year-old woman with previous criminal records and a conviction, a 32-year-old man also convicted and a 32-year-old man, unknown to the police. They were caught in front of an apartment they lived in in the capital's “White Birches“ district. During a search of the apartment, a box containing a white substance in powder and pressed into a mold, five bags of white substance in lumps, three vacuum bags containing dry leaf mass were seized. A notebook with notes proving the criminal activity of the individuals, and a sum of money in the amount of 5,800 leva were found in the apartment.
The expert report shows that the seized drugs are over 5,500 kg of cannabis, 350 g of marijuana, 750 g of amphetamine, 62 g of methamphetamine, 3 g of hashish, 73 ecstasy tablets, 141 Xanax tablets and 52 hallucinogenic mushrooms.
The four detainees have been charged.
Earlier today, the prosecutor's office announced that the number of detainees and the number of investigations initiated for the production, processing, acquisition, possession and distribution of drugs in September compared to August this year.
