The prosecution is expected to file a request with the Sofia City Court for the permanent arrest of the man who caused the serious accident that killed a police officer on the Northern Tangent in Sofia.
A 34-year-old man has been charged with causing the death by negligence of the 42-year-old Interior Ministry employee. It is yet to be clarified at what speed the driver was driving before hitting the patrol car.
The detainee's alcohol and drug tests were negative. The serious accident occurred shortly after 04:00 on Monday in the area of „Rozhen“ Blvd.
